1+ GB RAM!

My compy is about to get RAMified!

I'm afraid to say how much RAM I have now. It's a really small number. But now there will be no more breathing through a straw for this 2.7 GHz processor.

Come on UPS!

A hoooo-ooh

Yeah the band took a break
The DJ played P Diddy
She said, "I didn't come here to hear somethin' thumpin' from the city
Said, "I shaved my legs, I paid my money
"A-hooo-oooh, play somethin' country
"A-hooo-oooh, aw, play somethin' country."

So I learned a couple of things today. The first thing I learned is that you can't get no respect with a payroll check in West Lafayette. I need to cash it, so naturally all banks and credit unions are closed. I go to a promising business. They don't cash payroll checks. I go to a gas station. The lady gives me a look that's a cross between impatience and a lobster crawling out of my ear. The third and final place of business, which is where I gave up, apologetically said they can't do it. Huh!

Then I learned that math exams are like a cross between an after-school party, a convocatoin, and a shot in the mouth. They did get the answers up nice and quickly, though. Turns out I got 14/15 which translates to 93.3333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 which is like an A so woop!

White Stripes

So I went to my first concert ever. It was The White Stripes. And they are definitely awesome live.

I also took part in two psychological experiments today. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either.

C O L L E G E

You're seeing this post by request of Ross Cerbus, who reminded me that I do in fact have a blog and it hasn't been updated in something like forever.

So I'm in college now. I hardly thought the day would come. I always viewed college as something for old people, like my brothers. But now I've realized it's just a place for kids to go and get drunk and be kids.

Disclaimer: Not everyone gets drunk in college.

I can't complain too much. Classes aren't too difficult aside from math, which will probably be the only class that gives me trouble. And there's a huge support group here (CORPS) to keep me from going crazy. Not that I feel like I'm about to go crazy anyway. No, quite the contrary. Everything seems to be quite a bit of fun, even going to work. Actually, at this point, it seems kinda crazy that I'm actually getting paid to gas up cars, wash them, and drive them around. And I haven't had a boring weekend yet. Actually, they've been much more action-packed than almost any I had in high school.

Alas, it's not all peaches and gravy all the time. Observe:

Difficult cans of pears! The tab broke! Aaargh!
