Benefit Concert

Tonight was a benefit concert for Amber Riggs who was seriously injured by a drunk driver. In this benefit concert was Matt Mason. For those that don't know, Matt is a Triton Central graduate with some potential as a country singer.

Tonight, the majority of the country songs he sang dealt with heavy drinking. One song even included some lyrics that said we shouldn't judge him for being a drinker.

I don't mean to make this sound like a completely negative thing. It is awesome that we had so many people turn out for the supper, auction, and raffle. It was also great to see so many people donating their time and money and all the local businesses that donated hundreds if not thousands of dollars of merchandise. But really... what was Mr. Mason thinking? You don't sing about drinking at a concert benefitting a girl maimed by a drunk driver.

We Improve...

Slowly but surely, we get the hang of this Chinese football business.

Look closely and you can see a little white blur between Stephen and the goal. That blur is the football.

Also in AP Biology we finished our pig dissection lab. This marks the end of Whitman Jr.

Goal!

That's Stephen with a Chinese football. The metal H-shaped brace is our goal. This is what AP Biology looked like this morning.

Plug

I urge you to check out what The White Stripes and Loretta Lynn have come together to make. I'm not the biggest fan of country music, but this is good stuff.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's Done.

It's been a while since I've posted. Drama practice really started to get the better of me. We did the Diary of Anne Frank which was a real challenge, especially for such an inexperienced cast, with all the emotion involved. Rehearsals aren't too bad, but you get an audience and wham, stress like you wouldn't believe. Anyway, here are some pictures to enjoy. Most are off-stage and goofing around obviously since I can't really take pictures of people while I'm doing my job and they're on stage.

It feels strange for that to be my last drama production at Triton Central. It's sad and at the same time it's a bit of a relief. That was one stressful show. It was also a lot of fun. Ah, mixed feelings. I'm really tired now.
